I had the pleasure of spending the end of last week in Sewanee, Tennessee, home of the University of South, where I attended college. I had lunch with (pictured above, left to right) Stephen Alvarez, April Alvarez, and Pradip Malde. Stephen is renowned for his cave photography, much of it for National Geographic. He is at work on a book titled "Earth From Below." His blog, Picture Stories, is here.
Pradip is a photographer and professor of fine arts at Sewanee (his blog is here). Have a look at some of his recently posted work: diwali, bell, and sunflower.
I visited one of his classes and attended his son Luca's fourth birthday party.
It was a delightful fall weekend in the hills of Tennessee.
